D.C United Set To Sign Ian Harkes

D.C United is set to sign Hermann Trophy winner Ian Harkes to a Homegrown Player deal. Harkes decided to explore options with second-flight clubs in England before signing the deal, but returned to the States on Monday. Harkesā€™ father is a former U.S national team captain and spent six years playing in England before joining D.C United. Harkes was exempt from the MLS SuperDraft as a former player in the D.C United academy, thus making him eligible to a Homegrown Player deal.
