Five Things Orlando City Fans Are Thankful For This Holiday Season

Thankful Orlando City

As an Orlando City fan, what are you thankful for this year? Is it Joe Bendik’s Save of the Year? Or Seb Hines amazing headers? With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we decided to make a list of all the Orlando City moments we are thankful for this year.

Joe “Big Save” Bendik

Man the wall. With 114 saves this season, Bendik earned MLS Save of the Year and the Fans’ Player of the Year award. He’s kept Orlando City alive in more than one match-- anyone remember his PK save against the Montreal Impact?

The Stadium

We’ve seen it rise from the ground, piece by peice. Recently we watched as the first seats were installed and soon, we’ll see the all-natural pitch put into place. Before you know it, we’ll be playing in our own, privately funded, soccer-specific stadium. It’s been one hell of a ride and we’re just getting started.

Jason Kreis’ Smile

We only saw it for a fleeting moment… But it was magical nonetheless.

Cyle Larin Goals

He scored 14 of them, and tacked on 3 assists on top of that. Larin was Orlando City’s top goal-scorer this year, earning him the Orlando City Golden Boot Award. We’re thankful to have him up front.

Kaká

Whether he is scoring goals, earning assists, or just leading his team, Kaká is always a tremendous presence on and off the field. We’re grateful for the work that he does in the community, and for his leadership in helping his teammates succeed, especially when times get tough. We’re thankful that he is our Captain.
