Bedoya Makes MLS Debut

While Alejandro Bedoya’s MLS debut lacked breathtaking plays or stunning runs, he definitely had a solid impact in the Union’s 4-0 win against the New England Revolution. Bedoya is the type of player that keeps moving the ball forward, and passes it off to the game-changers. That’s what he did in this victory and exactly what the Union need him to do.

Seattle Sounders Earn Another Win

This week, the Seattle Sounders traveled to Salt Lake under interim head coach Brian Schmetzer, and earned themselves another win. The 2-1 victory for Seattle featured a goal by Nicolas Lodeiro, his first goal in MLS. Lodeiro also assisted in the second goal, scored by young star Jordan Morris. It looks like Seattle is finding their rhythm again.

Eastern Conference Battle Heats Up

The battle for first place in the Eastern Conference is heating up. Toronto FC, who were seeking to rise up to first place this week, earned only a draw against a 10-man Houston Dynamo. New York City FC, the current leaders of the East, also earned a draw against the Columbus Crew. Only the New York Red Bulls, who are currently in third place in the East, earned three points against the Montreal Impact. Now, these teams are all within three points of each other (NYCFC 38, Toronto FC 37, New York Red Bulls 36). It seems that the title in the East is anyone’s to take.
