Kaká Happy To Be Back In Front of Orlando Supporters

On Sunday night, Orlando City earned a 3-1 victory over the New England Revolution in their first home match since they took on the Houston Dynamo on July 8th. After playing three away matches, the team was ready to come home.

Forward Cyle Larin and Midfielder Kaká were featured in last week’s MLS All-Star game. But this return home saw Kaká earn his first start in an Orlando City match since the July 4th game against FC Dallas. Kaká seemed very happy to finally be back in Orlando.

“I really wanted to be back in Orlando with all our supporters,” Kaká said after Sunday night’s match. “I played in Columbus 30 minutes, I played in the All-Star game, but I wanted to play here and win a game like this.”

While Kaká was certainly happy to return to the starting lineup, he emphasized that this team is not about a single player. “I think that everybody needs to understand that this is for Orlando,” Kaká said. “It’s not for a player or for themselves.”

Kaká and his teammates will stay at home for another week before playing two away games. On Sunday, they will look to build off their success against the Revolution as they take on the Seattle Sounders at 7:00pm at Camping World Stadium. Kaká seems confident that his team can get the job done.

“I think it was a great step,” Kaká said about Sunday night’s victory. “I think we are going the right way.”
