DraftKings Players to Watch: Going With The Hot Hand

DK SKC

Orlando City heads to Sporting Kansas City Sunday in their first Western Conference road trip of the season. We’ve got your fantasy scouting covered.

Haven’t tried DraftKings? It’s easy. Each player is given a salary cap of $50,000 to draft their eleven-player lineup. Player salaries are determined by their on-field performance, FPPG, or Fantasy Points Per Game.

Orlando City Players to Watch

Joe Bendik, GK: 4.2 FPPG, $3,000 – Joe Bendik has been a brick wall for the Lions this season. He came up with some clutch saves in stoppage time two weeks ago against New England and had another strong outing last week against New York. Sporting has been struggling to score this season, so look out for some big value from Bendik.

Rafael Ramos, D: 7.9 FPPG, $4,100 – Portuguese right back Rafael Ramos has shown tremendous improvement in Year 2. The speedy defender has two assists this season, but that number is sure to increase as Cyle Larin and Kevin Molino continue heating up.

Kevin Molino, M: 12.4 FPPG, $4,800 – Kevin Molino has been on a tear recently, scoring four goals and an assist in his last six games. His recent form has him tied with Larin for the team goal scoring lead, and it’s always a safe bet to go with the hot hand (or, in this case, foot).

Around the League

Diego Valeri, M: 18.7 FPPG, $8,500 – Valeri costs a pretty penny, but you won’t find many higher scorers. He’s already eclipsed last year’s goal total in less than half the games, and he’s well on his way to matching in assists. NYCFC gives up their fair share of goals, and the defending champs are looking for a big three points at home.

Sebastian Giovinco, F: 25.3 FPPG, $9,900 – Giovinco has picked up right where he left off after last year’s MLS Golden Boot award. The Atomic Ant has six goals and four assists in nine games this year. Toronto is finally starting to play some home games after a marathon two-month road stretch to start the year against a Vancouver team that’s given up 17 goals in 2016.
