McDonald’s® of Central Florida Becomes Orlando City SC’s Newest Sponsor

ORLANDO, Fla. – March 16, 2016 – Continuing its quest to connect with loyal supporters around the world, Orlando City SC welcomes McDonald’s of Central Florida as its newest global partner.

The partnership extends across the Club’s four main brands, with McDonald’s of Central Florida joining the Lions in Major League Soccer (MLS), Pride in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), Orlando City B in the United Soccer League (USL) and Orlando City Youth Soccer families.

Through this new relationship, McDonald’s of Central Florida will be the presenting sponsor of player escorts for the 2016 season for all Pride and OCB matches, and all non-nationally broadcast Lions’ games. McDonald’s player escorts, consisting of children ages 7-11, will be selected during a mutually agreed upon promotion for each game.

“We’re excited to kickoff this partnership with McDonald’s of Central Florida and offer our young fans a once in a lifetime opportunity to walk on the field with their favorite soccer players,” said Rob Parker, the Club’s vice president of partnerships. “McDonald’s is a well-respected brand among our families and we look forward to a great partnership.”

Through the McDonald’s of Central Florida sponsorship, three lucky fans will be able to enjoy All Day Breakfast with a player of a specific team. Contest information will be announced at a later date.

“The local Owner/Operators of McDonald’s of Central Florida have been long term supporters of sports in Central Florida. With the addition of Major League Soccer to our area, this partnership seems to be a perfect match for both our brands,” said Brian Wright, Owner/Operator and soccer fan. “We look forward to a winning season for all of the Orlando City Clubs and to connecting kids with Orlando City athletes to help them see that no dream is beyond their reach."
