Alex Morgan Scores Second of Six for USWNT Against Trinadad & Tobago

The US Women’s National Team welcomed Trinidad & Tobago for one of their final match’s in their World Cup Victory Tour on Thursday night. The match took place in San Antonio, Texas at the Alamodome.

It was a night full of excitement as the US netted six goals while US keeper Hope Solo kept a clean sheet at the other end as they expanded their unbeaten streak to seven games in the Victory Tour, and their home unbeaten streak to a staggering 103 games.

Orlando Pride’s Alex Morgan stapled her name to the team sheet amongst all the action in minute 52. Lindsey Horan played a long ball over the top as Morgan crept in behind the back four and took a touch just outside the box before strategically placing the ball to the goalkeeper’s left with her left foot.

Morgan’s game tilting goal was her third in four games for the US Women’s National Team and it will bring confidence to the fans of Orlando Pride that Morgan will be rearing to go when their inaugural season rolls around.
Orlando Pride goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris was also selected in the squad against Trinidad & Tobago but remained on the bench as the United States breezed through the game.
