ORLANDO, Fla. (Dec. 5, 2015) —The Sherwin-Williams Company was announced today as the Official Paint Partner of Orlando City Soccer Club and its new downtown stadium.
Aside from game day activations, the partnership includes continuous collaboration on community projects throughout Central Florida.
“We are proud to have Sherwin-Williams on board – not only as a partner of the Club – but as one of our first partners for the next chapter of our Club’s history, our new stadium in 2016,” said Club Founder and President Phil Rawlins. “Sherwin-Williams has been an ongoing partner in many ways this season, as they’ve graciously supported different community projects with the Orlando City Foundation—something we are proud to continue doing into 2016.”
On Saturday, Dec. 5, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., Sherwin-Williams and the Orlando City Foundation renovated several indoor and outdoor rooms at the New Image Youth Center in Parramore.
Orlando City’s Brek Shea will visit the center in January to complete the artwork in the facility. In addition to soccer, Shea is an avid artist displaying his creativity and previous work through his Left Foot Studio.
"The Sherwin-Williams Company is proud to be a partner with Orlando City SC for the 2016 season,” said Chad Rogers, Orlando Metro District Manager, Sherwin Williams Company. “Together, Sherwin-Williams and Orlando City SC can provide a profound impact on our friends and neighbors in the communities in which we do business every day."
“We run several afterschool programs at the New Image Youth Center and it’s gratifying to have partners, like Sherwin-Williams, join our mission to be good stewards of our community and offer our kids a renovated center to call home away from home,” said Kay Rawlins, the Orlando City Foundation’s community relations director.
