DraftKings Players To Watch: Week 26

Draft Kings PTW Chicago

Orlando City SC take on the Chicago Fire this Saturday and we have put together a list of a few impact players from the Lions who are worthy of consideration in your Draftkings roster over the weekend.

Haven’t tried Draftkings? It’s really easy. Each player is given a fictitious $50,000 to spend on assembling his or her roster. Players’ salaries are determined by their on-field performance, FPPG, or Fantasy Points Per Game. Each roster consists of two forwards, two midfielders, two defenders, a keeper, and one flex spot (any field player).

Scoring is as follows:
Goal: 10 points
Assist: 6 points
Shot: 1 point
Shot on Goal:  1 point
Cross: 1 point (a cross is any offensive ball sent in from the wing; corners don’t count)
Fouls Drawn: .75 points
Red Card: -1 point
Save (GK): 2 points
Win (GK): 5 points
PK Save (GK): 3 points
Goal Allowed (GK): -2 points
Clean Sheet (GK, D): 5 points
One Goal Allowed (GK, D): 2 points

Here are some Orlando City players to watch against the Chicago Fire this saturday:

Luke Boden - DEF: 8.0 FPPG, $4,300 - Luke Boden is normally a very safe pick for a fantasy lineup. He is plays very well while defending and can also get forward and create opportunities in the attack with his crosses. Boden very rarely makes mistakes which makes him a top candidate for your fantasy squad.

Kaká- MF: 8.1 FPPG, $10,700 - Could there be a rivalry brewing with the Chicago Fire? If things get chippy Saturday night in this the third matchup between the two teams, don’t discount Kaká’s value at the penalty spot. He has been the designated penalty taker for Orlando City and has been as consistent as anyone in the league from that spot.

Cristian Higuita - MF: 6.4 FPPG, $4,000 - With the recent play of Higuita, he’s a steal at this price. Not only has he been solid in defense, but his ability to get up the pitch on attack gives him so much value when assembling your DraftKings roster.

Cyle Larin - FWD: 9.2 FPPG, $9,100 - Cyle Larin has looked very comfortable at the Orlando Citrus Bowl this season, and with the team finally returning after a long road stint it would be smart to include the rookie in your selections this week. He is just one goal away from setting the all-time MLS scoring record for a rookie.

David Mateos - DEF: 0.4 FPPG, $3,000 - Possibly the steal of the week for your DraftKings roster. With only two games played in MLS Mateos is still a relatively unknown commodity, but with his pedigree and growing familiarity in the system he is sure to outplay that $3,000 price tag. Look for he and the rest of the defense to clamp down on the Chicago attack at home this Saturday.

Around the League:
Robbie Keane - FWD, LA Galaxy: 26.9 FPPG, $11,100- Robbie Keane is on the more expensive side, but he is worth every penny. Keane has played extremely well lately and has scored 15 goals on the season. He is one of the safest pick-ups for your roster considering how positive his play is.

David Villa - FWD, NYCFC: 21.7 FPPG, $13,000- Like Keane, David Villa comes off on the pricey side and also has 15 goals on the season. He is normally a safe pick to spend a fair amount of money on because of his production. I believe he is certainly worthwhile for his cost.
