"We're looking forward to playing in the Open Cup in front of our home fans," said head coach Adrian Heath. "As I said before, this is a competition that we take very seriously. I have a lot of respect for Columbus as they're a strong side, but we'll be ready to compete on Tuesday."

Orlando enters the contest after a thrilling victory over former USL rivals Charleston Battery in its fourth round game that featured eight goals, 120 minutes of play and 10 rounds of penalties.

Colombian winger Carlos Rivas scored a hat-trick in the win, while Lewis Neal added another goal for Orlando – extending the Lions all-time Open Cup record to 9-4-0. City and Crew SC have already met on two occasions in league play so far this season.

After suffering a defeat early in the 2015 campaign at MAPFRE Stadium, Orlando bounced back to draw Columbus 2-2 at the Citrus Bowl on May 30, when Pedro Ribeiro's strike in the waning moments of the game brought both teams level. Crew SC comes into Tuesday's match after comfortably defeating the Richmond Kickers of USL 3-1 in the fourth round.

Forward Adam Bedell notched a brace in the win and Ethan Finlay provided the team's only other goal. Former Middlesbrough and Sporting KC striker Kei Kamara currently leads the team and MLS in goals with 12 – eight more than Designated Player Federico Higuain who ranks second on the squad.

Midfielder Ethan Finlay leads the assist charts for Columbus, setting up nine finishes so far this season. Columbus currently sits in sixth place in the MLS Eastern Conference.
