Kaká Up For Goal of the Week & Player of the Month Honors

As no shock to anyone, Kaká’s first month at Orlando City has gone quite well.

After his 1 goal and 1 assist performance in Montreal this past weekend, Kaká was nominated for MLS Goal of the Week and also placed on MLSsoccer.com’ s Team of the Week.

When you add that performance to his equalizer at the death of Orlando City’s opener against NYCFC and a handful of chances created against Houston and Vancouver - you’ve got a MLS Player of the Month Candidate. VOTE HERE

In the running along with Kaká this week is Sporting Kansas City’s Ike Opara, FC Dallas’ Blas Perez, the Whitecaps Octavio Rivero, and New York Red Bulls’ Bradley Wright-Phillips.

All nominees for these awards are selected by the editorial staff at MLSsoccer.com and then put up for fan vote. Voting for Goal of the Week closes at 8:59PM ET on Thursday. Voting for Player of the Month closes at 8:59PM ET on Wednesday.
