Orlando City’s U.S. Soccer Development Academy teams won all three games this past weekend, defeating Boca United Football and the Carolina Rapids.

The U-14s continued their strong campaign this year – winning 2-0 against Boca United Football on Sunday. Alejandro Pereira bagged the goals for City in both halves, scoring in the 16th and 68th minutes.

The U-16s had a convincing victory over the visiting Carolina Rapids, winning 4-0 at Seminole Soccer Complex. David Loera unlocked the floodgates in the first minute of play, leading to a four-goal first half. Following Loera’s opening strike, Rapids’ defender Asa Wessler scored an own goal, while Jonathan Rosales and Juan Hernandez added the third and fourth finishes.

Continuing the U-16’s high-scoring fixture, the U-18s also defeated the Rapids 4-0. It took 30 minutes for the Lions to breakthrough when Gorka Aperribay opened the scoring. Shortly afterward, Chandler Maynes found the back of the net in the 52nd minute of play, and Jaiden Fortune notched a brace in the waning moments of the match (87’ and 89’).
