Kiwanis Build New Playground in Winter Garden

Playground Build 12/6

This Saturday members from the Fan Advisory Council and front office staff traveled to Shiloh Baptist Church, where they aided in installing a state of the art playground. There were close to 50 total volunteers, with Matthew’s Hope and Kiwanis coordinating the day. Not only did they build a state of the art playground facility, they separated roots from under the soil to be recycled as compost into the on-site pesticide free garden.

Matthew’s Hope benefits from more than 50,000 volunteer hours a year and works with more than 60 churches, civic organizations and area businesses. Together, we love the homeless community of West Orange County and help move our guests forward. Kiwanis Club Orlando is a community service organization where professionals, retirees, students, and civic volunteers all come together with one common goal: serving the needs of children in Central Florida.

Between hauling the large pieces of structure and tightening each supporting bolt, the groundwork was laid for kids to have a safe place to play for many years to come.
