New Kits Pay Homage To ILF And The Ruckus.

Both the Iron Lion Firm and The Ruckus have been some of the longest-standing fans in Orlando City’s history.

After forming in 2011, the recognized Supporter Clubs have since embarked on the journey to MLS with Orlando City, proudly representing and supporting the Lions.

With MLS entry only a few months away, Orlando City honored the ILF and The Ruckus for their unrelenting support over the years, as the Lions checked off another milestone on its major league to-do list.

On Wednesday morning, City unveiled its new MLS home kits which showcased several advanced features. At first glance, the new jersey has a very classic look – City’s distinct purple coupled with three white Adidas stripes.

However, several unique features were also unveiled, one of which pays tribute to the City faithful. Sublimated on the inside of the authentic home jersey’s neck tape in gold letters is the ILF’s recognizable phrase “This is Orlando.”

In the midst of all the excitement, Orlando City Founder and President Phil Rawlins also revealed the first feature of the Lions’ away kit – which will be released at a later date – announcing that the jersey will represent The Ruckus with the phrase, “Forever our City.”

“From both the Iron Lion Firm and the Ruckus, we have the words that mean so much to our supporters actually embedded onto the jersey which makes it very unique,” said Rawlins at the announcement. “On the neck tape of the jersey, we have the words ‘This is Orlando’ which is a nod to the Iron Lion Firm, and for a sneak preview of the away jersey, we’ll have the words ‘Forever our City,’ representing the Ruckus.”
