ORLANDO – October 27, 2014 – Orlando City Soccer Club made another significant contribution to the local community today, donating over $15,000 worth of furniture and other items to the Mustard Seed of Central Florida.

The various items donated by Orlando City included mattresses, bed frames, couches and kitchen tables, all of which will directly benefit local Central Florida families in need.

The Mustard Seed has been a social service agency for over 25 years and is the only furniture and clothing bank in Central Florida, helping families attempting to climb out of a crisis situation.

“We are an organization that is helping to rebuild the lives of over 1,200 families per year,” said Mustard Seed Marketing and Outreach Coordinator Corrine Daly.  “Those families include 3,100 individuals and 1,300 children who need basic household furniture to create stability in their lives. By donating these items, Orlando City SC is giving a hand up to families and individuals who are in the process of restoring their dignity and self-esteem.”
