ORLANDO – October 13, 2014 – Orlando City Soccer Club will participate in the league–wide initiative announced today by Major League Soccer, whereby up to 5,000 Season Ticket accounts will be given the opportunity to have their portraits displayed within the numbers on the backs of players’ jerseys throughout the month of August 2015.
When the program launches, participating Season Ticket Members will be able to select a jersey number (0-9), and the location within that number, to upload their photo.
Orlando City players will wear these special numbers for all regular season games during the month of August 2015 on all jerseys – home, away and alternate. In addition, the special jerseys and additional merchandise featuring the unique number scheme will be available for purchase.
“This innovative program will literally bring fans onto our backs and onto the pitch in support of our Club,” said Orlando City Founder and President Phil Rawlins. “We’re thrilled to participate in this program to build an even closer connection between our fans and their club.”
Additional details regarding the launch of the program will be released before the end of the year.
