Orlando City Forward Visits Lake Nona Country Club

Campers at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club were in for a surprise on Monday, July 14th. Joining them for the day to talk to them about soccer and fitness was newly signed Orlando City Forward Guiseppe Gentile and the team’s mascot, Kingston.

“I was thrilled at the opportunity to go and talk to the campers at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club,” said Gentile. “It was an honor to be able to represent the Orlando City organization in the community.”

Gentile engaged the children in an enlightening discussion on what it’s like to be a professional soccer player and about the Orlando City organization. After the forward took more questions, the kids got to do what they were really looking forward to doing: playing soccer with Gentile and Kingston.

Showing off some quick footwork, the kids put a few shots past Goalkeeper Kingston. Gentile played midfield, demonstrating his own moves while assisting more than one great play.

Having been signed by Orlando City less than a week ago, Gentile was excited to get involved in the community.

"I had lots of fun hanging out with the children at Lake Nona and talking to them about fitness,” said Gentile. “I am thankful that they invited me to their camp, and I hope they had an excellent experience."
