Recently, Orlando City Youth Soccer (OCYS) and Orlando City Foundation (the Foundation) donated soccer equipment to the Ken Oliech Soccer Academy in South Africa. The donation marks the first time that OCYS and the Foundation has sent equipment to a South African soccer academy.
“Orlando City Soccer Club does not know how much they have helped the lives of children in Kenya,” said Recreational Technical Director for OCYS Godfrey Miheso. “Through Orlando City Soccer Club’s generous donation of equipment, they have definitely created waves across seas.”
The Ken Oliech Foundation specializes in sports leadership and development training. The goal of the organization is to equip young and potential sportsmen with the right skills and attitudes that will enable them to develop into sportsmen who know, create and run the sport of football. The organization hinges on creating a generation of not only well rounded sportsmen, but also sports leaders.
