Camp Challenge Concludes

OCF at Camp Challenge

Orlando City SC has been active in the community with Easter Seals Camp Challenge, hosting soccer clinics for adults and children with disabilities. For four weeks straight on Wednesdays from 3-4 p.m., Orlando players have been volunteering their time teaching children and adults soccer skills. The Camps concluded this past Wednesday, July 10.

The camp was a part of Jamie Watson’s Player Cause Easter Seals. Watson teamed up with Easter Seals prior to the season start and has been involved ever since, holding the cause close to his heart having a brother who suffers from cerebral palsy. Watson wasn’t the only player that became involved with the camps this summer, with Dom Dwyer, Johnny Mendoza, Freddie Braun and Brian Fekete volunteering their expertise on top of Orlando City U23s players and club staff.

“Being a professional soccer player for Orlando City, I know my life has been extremely blessed,” said Watson. “I'm so lucky to play the game that I love. With every blessing placed in your life, I feel a strong need to pay my blessing forward. With Easter Seals, I am dedicating myself to spend time with these amazing children and adults, and to help however I can.”
