Orlando City joins Nathaniel's Hope at Lake Eola

Nathaniel's Hope at Lake Eola

Orlando City SC visited Lake Eola Park for the 11th annual Make m Smile event on Sunday, June 1. Make m Smile is a community festival and was attended by over 25,000 people.

The event was organized by Nathaniel’s Hope, an organization dedicated to sharing hope with kids with special needs (VIP kids) and their families. The event was free for the VIP kids and their families, and involved family entertainment, music, characters, bounce houses, animal land, food and a chance to visit exhibitors that service the special needs community.

Several staff members attended including Jhamie Chin, Jennifer O’Conner, and Mark Lowry, along with members of Team City, and Foundation Member and Camp Director Kirk Chin. Orlando City representatives spoke with to the kids about Orlando City SC. The group spent the morning playing soccer activities with kids of all abilities. Of course, Orlando City mascot Kingston didn’t want to miss out on the fun, so he went along and enjoyed meeting the children and taking pictures with them.

Nathaniel’s Hope is an excellent cause, and Orlando City SC was glad to be able to play a small part in helping the VIP children, and their families and buddies in our community.
