Haruna Hits His Stride

Midfielder Issah Haruna has found his rhythm, scoring the first two goals of his professional career in consecutive matches and further elevating his influence on Orlando City B’s attack. His breakthrough came in the 80th minute against Crown Legacy FC, when he struck from the top of the box off a corner kick to ignite a late comeback. He carried that momentum into last  Sunday night’s match against Atlanta United 2, making a well-timed run behind the backline before finishing a through ball from Harvey Sarajian to secure a 2-0 road win.

Wilding Earns First Win at the Helm

Orlando City B’s 2-0 victory over Atlanta United 2 delivered the first win of Eddie Wilding’s tenure as head coach following his appointment on April 9. The result marked another step in Wilding’s progression from the academy, where the 31-year-old guided the U-18s to a commanding 24-3-1 record during the 2025-26 MLS NEXT season. Sunday’s shutout offered an encouraging early milestone as he continues to establish himself at the professional level.

Caraballo Converts

Seventeen-year-old midfielder Gustavo Caraballo opened the scoring in Orlando City B’s 2-0 win over Eastern Conference rival Atlanta United 2, calmly converting a penalty in the ninth minute after Harvey Sarajian was brought down in the box. The finish was Caraballo’s fourth goal of the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season, establishing a new career high in a single campaign. Through nine appearances, including seven starts, the young midfielder continues to grow into an increasingly important attacking presence for the Lions.

Eastern Conference Clash

Orlando City B heads into its next match against New England Revolution II with a 2W-4L-2D all-time mark in the series. The sides split their meetings last season, with Orlando claiming a 1-0 home victory on April 9 at Osceola Heritage Park before New England responded with a 3-0 win at Gillette Stadium. The latest meeting offers OCB another opportunity to seize momentum in a closely contested Eastern Conference matchup.
