Orlando City B continued to show attacking intent from the opening whistle, jumping out to an early two-goal lead in its 2-2 draw with Carolina Core FC before claiming the extra point in the end-of-regulation shootout. The Lions struck twice in the first half through Gustavo Caraballo and Pedro Leão, controlling the flow of the match early before Carolina clawed back after halftime.
Caraballo Converts
Midfielder Gustavo Caraballo opened the scoring just seven minutes in, earning and converting a penalty kick to mark his third goal of the season. The finish pushed Caraballo to five career goals for Orlando City B across all competitions, continuing his steady rise as a key presence in the Lions’ midfield.
Perfect From the Spot
After Carolina scored twice in three minutes to level the match, Orlando City B responded with flawless execution in the end-of-regulation shootout. The Lions converted all six of their attempts through Toryn Penders, Jaylen Yearwood, Caleb Trombino, Brady Kendall, Nicolas Bobea Torres and Titus Sandy Jr., earning the extra point when Carolina missed its final kick and showing composure under pressure.

Sunday night also marked an important step in development for Orlando City’s academy pipeline, as forwards Brady Kendall and Toryn Penders made their professional debuts off the bench.
