Another One Goes the Distance

Orlando City B has made a habit of pushing matches to the brink, reaching end-of-regulation shootouts in three straight games. After draws with Carolina Core FC on April 19 and Chicago Fire FC II on April 26, OCB earned the extra point both times from the spot. The most recent match brought a third straight draw against Crown Legacy FC, but Orlando came up just short in the tiebreaker as OCB continues to fight for all 90 minutes.

Sarajian Strikes Late

Orlando City SC forward Harvey Sarajian scored an equalizer in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time to complete Orlando City B’s comeback against Crown Legacy on Sunday. It was his fourth goal of the 2026 MLS Next Pro season. The late strike marked the second straight match in which the Lions found a late equalizer, after Nicolas Lasheras did the same against Chicago Fire FC II to send both matches to end-of-regulation shootouts.

Haruna Breaks Through

Midfielder Issah Haruna scored his first professional goal in his fourth start for Orlando City B, igniting the Lions’ comeback in the 80th minute. Following a Gustavo Caraballo corner and a scramble in the box, Bernardo Rhein kept the play alive for his second OCB assist before Haruna found space atop the area and slotted a composed outside-of-the-foot finish. Haruna also added an assist on Harvey Sarajian’s stoppage-time equalizer, threading a well-weighted pass into space on the right to set up the goal.

Rivalry Renewed in the Peach State

Orlando City B heads to Georgia for its next MLS NEXT Pro match against Atlanta United 2, continuing a competitive series between the two sides. The Lions went 1-1-1 against Atlanta in 2025, opening with a 2-2 draw on March 16 that was decided by an end-of-regulation shootout in which Orlando claimed the extra point. Atlanta took the May meeting before OCB closed the series with a 2-1 win on Aug. 23. With recent matches repeatedly decided by late moments and spot kicks, Orlando will look to turn those slim margins into points on the road.
