Five For Five Against the Five Stripes

Following Orlando City B’s 2-1 win over Atlanta United 2 last Saturday, the Lions extended their unbeaten streak to five official home matches against the Five Stripes. All five games have taken place at Osceola County Stadium, including three this season, one of which saw Atlanta designated as the home team. The first meeting in March ended with OCB earning two points after a shootout win. Dating back to 2023, this five-game streak is OCB’s longest against any opponent in MLS NEXT Pro.

A Perfect 10

Orlando City B midfielder Shak Mohammed scored the game-winner in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time, helping the Lions stay unbeaten at home against Atlanta United 2. The goal marked his tenth of the 2025 season, with three of those serving as match-winners. Mohammed has scored in 10 of OCB’s 23 matches this year and has now reached double-digit goals across all competitions in each of the past two seasons. The Ghanaian international continues to be a key offensive force for the young Lions.

Hayden’s Helper

Defender Hayden Sargis recorded his first career assist for Orlando City B last Saturday, setting up Shak Mohammed’s stoppage-time winner against Atlanta United 2. Sargis delivered a lofted pass from just outside OCB’s 18-yard box that bounced twice in Atlanta’s half before reaching Mohammed, who beat the defense and slotted the ball into the bottom corner. With this assist, Sargis has now tallied both his first OCB goal and first assist during the 2025 season. The California native has featured in 19 of the team’s 23 matches this year.

In Line for the Throne

Sunday’s Eastern Conference clash marks the third and final regular season meeting between Orlando City B and Crown Legacy FC in 2025. OCB earned a win and a draw in the first two matchups; both played on the road in North Carolina. Now aiming to extend their unbeaten run to three games against Crown Legacy this season, and four overall dating back to 2024, the Lions will also be seeking their first home victory in the series. With just one point separating the two sides in the Eastern standings, the stakes are high, especially with both teams within three points of a playoff spot.
