ORLANDO, Fla. (Dec. 31, 2025) — Orlando City B announced today the signing of goalkeeper Juan Rojas from the Orlando City Academy to a three-year MLS NEXT Pro contract through the 2028 season. Rojas, 17, becomes the latest homegrown talent to advance through Orlando City’s development pathway and join the Lions’ MLS NEXT Pro side.

“Juan is a goalkeeper with great potential, and this signing represents an important next step for his development,” said Ricardo Moreira, Orlando City SC General Manager & Sporting Director. “During his time with the Academy, Juan has consistently shown his shot-stopping abilities and leadership in goal, which played a key role in helping our U-18 side win the first Generation adidas Cup in our history. This addition strengthens our goalkeeper pathways for the future, and we are excited to see Juan grow as a professional both on and off the pitch. With him and Tristan Himes, OCB is well served with two young homegrowns in the position, both with first team potential.”

Over four seasons with the Orlando City Academy, Rojas made 94 appearances between the posts, recording 42 clean sheets and more than 250 saves. A 2024 MLS NEXT All-Star and a member of Orlando City’s 2025 Generation adidas Cup U-18 Championship team, Rojas was also recently called up to Venezuela’s senior national team in October.

Rojas’ signing is the latest example of Orlando City’s integrated development pathway in action, connecting the Academy, Orlando City B, and the First Team, and reaffirming the Club’s commitment to nurturing young talent.
