HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (June 6, 2025) – Orlando City B (6-5-1, 20 points) edged out Huntsville City FC (4-3-4, 19 points) with a thrilling 3-2 victory at Wicks Family Field on Friday night. A stoppage-time winner from second-half substitute Dyson Clapier secured a second consecutive late-game triumph for the Lions and marked their first-ever road win in Huntsville, propelling them past their Eastern Conference rivals in the standings.

After a scoreless first 45 minutes, the deadlock was broken just three minutes into the second half with two goals coming in rapid succession. Orlando City B found the back of the net in the 48th minute courtesy via a corner from midfielder Jhon Solís and headed in by defender Hayden Sargis. The goal was Sargis’ first since joining OCB in March, while Solís recorded his eleventh career assist for the Lions.

OCB’s initial lead would be short-lived, as Huntsville City FC stormed back with a goal of their own just two minutes later to level the scoreline. The home side then doubled their tally through forward Gunnar Studenhofft’s header off a corner kick of their own in the 70th minute.

With only six minutes remaining, the young Lions found an equalizer as John Solís converted directly from a free kick, curling the ball into the top right corner of the net. OCB completed their comeback two minutes into second half stoppage time, as Clapier finished a lethal counterattack to record his second career goal with OCB and secure all three points on the road. Academy product Justin Hylton played hero for a second consecutive week, providing the assist on Clapier’s goal after also assisting a stoppage-time, game-winning goal in last Sunday’s victory over Chattanooga FC. Hylton has now recorded two assists in his first two appearances for Orlando City B.

OCB Goalkeeper Carlos Mercado also played a key role in the result, making seven saves on the night, including one in the final moments of second half stoppage time to secure the road victory for the Lions.

The Lions will continue their two-game road trip as they travel to North Carolina to face Carolina Core FC on Wednesday, June 11. The game will stream live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. ET at Truist Point Stadium in High Point, North Carolina.
