Kissimmee, Fla. (Aug. 31, 2025) – Orlando City B (9-11-4, 33 points) beat Crown Legacy FC (6-10-8, 29 points) 1-0 courtesy of a stoppage-time winner from forward Thalles on Sunday evening at Osceola County Stadium. With the result, the Lions finished the season series with Crown Legacy unbeaten and now sit in a playoff position in the Eastern Conference.
After more than 90 minutes of deadlock, OCB broke through in dramatic fashion to snatch a late win. In the seventh minute of added time, a lofted pass into the box deflected high off a Crown Legacy defender and bounced twice, setting the stage for Thalles to muscle past his marker just outside the penalty area and launch into an acrobatic right-footed strike, sending the ball past the outstretched arms of the Crown Legacy goalkeeper and into the top-left corner. The stunning finish not only secured the win but also marked Thalles’ fourth career goal for the Lions.
Goalkeeper Carlos Mercado recorded his third clean sheet of the season for OCB and made a game-saving block on Crown Legacy’s last shot on goal in the eighth minute of second-half stoppage time to seal the home victory. Two of Mercado’s three clean sheets this season have now come against Crown Legacy FC.
