City’s Bendik, Larin, and Spector named to Team of the Week for Second Time

team of the week 3 2017

City was represented well in the MLS Team of the Week for week one with a trio of Lions making the team and those same faces are back in the spotlight for the week three MLS Team of the Week.

Jonathan Spector is enjoying his start to life as a Lion and his play is being deservedly noticed. Specs’ sound defensive contribution on Saturday earns himself his second MLS Team of the Week Starting XI appearance in as many appearances for the Lions.

Joining Specs in the XI, is Saturday's goal-getter, Cyle Larin. Cyle makes his first Team of the Week XI of 2017 after getting a Team of the Week bench selection for week one. His brace on Saturday takes his season total to three goals to start the campaign.

Joe Bendik rounds out the City selections for the MLS Team of the Week. Though Joe had a quieter night on Saturday compared to the home opener, he came up big when it mattered most to keep the lead intact late on Saturday night. His performance earns him a bench nod for the MLS Team of the Week.
