Sebastian Giovinco Staying in Toronto


After rumors that Giovinco might leave Toronto to rejoin Serie A, Giovincoā€™s agent confirmed this week that he will be staying with Toronto for the 2017 season. Giovinco was facing some pressure to move back to Serie A, especially after being left off the roster for the Italian National Team. But Giovincoā€™s agent says that he is happy with Toronto, especially when his team is so close to winning a title. 


Sporting Kansas City Signs Cameron Iwasa from Sacramento Republic FC


Sporting Kansas City signed Striker Cameron Iwasa this week. Iwasa comes from Sacramento Republic FC, where he finished the season as the teamā€™s leading goalscorer with 12 goals and helped lead his team to a Western Conference title last season. Sporting Kansas City signed him to a one-year deal, with options for 2018-2020. 


LA Galaxy Interested in Jonathan Dos Santos 


The LA Galaxy are reportedly interested in signing Jonathon Dos Santos, Giovaniā€™s 26-year-old brother. The Mexican midfielder is currently playing for Spanish side Villareal, where he was previously teammates with his brother. LA is trying to fill the void left by the offseason departures of Steven Gerrard, Robbie Keane, Landon Donovan, and Head Coach Bruce Arena. 


MLS Combine Attendees Share Their Favorite MLS Squad


On Monday, MLS polled the attendees of the 2017 Combine to find out who their favorite teamā€™s were. The winners-- New York City FC, carrying in 17% of the ballots. The Philadelphia Union came in second place with 10%, followed by a three way tie for third between Columbus Crew, Toronto FC, and Orlando City. The Seattle Sounders, Portland Timbers, and LA Galaxy came in at fourth place, with the Colorado Rapids and Sporting Kansas City coming in at 5th.
