DraftKings Players to Watch: Molino Lights the Spark

DK PTW Molino

Just days after their comeback win against Montréal, Orlando City SC (3-3-5, 14 points) plays host to the Philadelphia Union (5-3-3, 18 points), who now reside atop the Eastern Conference table, Wednesday night at Camping World Stadium. We’ve got your fantasy scouting report covered.

Haven’t tried DraftKings? It’s easy. Each player is given a salary cap of $50,000 to draft their eleven-player lineup. Player salaries are determined by their on-field performance, FPPG, or Fantasy Points Per Game.

Kevin Molino - 11.8 FPPG $4,700- Coming of the bench mid-week, Kevin Molino scored on his first touch of the match. That spark he provided didn’t go unnoticed by head coach Adrian Heath and you could very well see Molino in the starting lineup on Sunday. He’ll be looking for his sixth goal of the season and he might find it against a defense who allowed seven goals just a week ago.

Kevin Alston - 4.8 FPPG $2,500- In what could be his second start of the season, look for Kevin Alston to grow even more comfortable with his teammates. Alston has delivered some key passes in the past two weeks which are bound to lead to assists in the near future. If you’re looking for a cheap defender to add to your roster, Alston holds some great upside for his price.

Cyle Larin - 12 FPPG $7,000 - Larin heads into New York with three goals in his last two matches. Combine that with his prolific scoring history in New York and you have a sure fire impact player for Sunday’s match. Look for Larin to get on the other end of the long ball and cause some problems for the NYCFC back line. Their short pitch will cause some tight areas for the second year forward to work in, but those are the situations he excels in.

Around the League

Tesho Akindele - 6.1 FPPG $4,600 - Akindele started the season hot with three goals in his first three matches. Then, things went dark. After a six game goal-less skid, Akindele got back on the score sheet last week with two goals against New England. Look for him to make an impact again in San Jose.

Kevin Doyle - 8.4 FPPG $5,200 - It’s been an up-and-down season so far Kevin Doyle. He has tallied lots of shots on goal, which is great for your fantasy numbers, but hasn’t found the back of the net with consistency. With a few key players out due to injury, Colorado will need Doyle to deliver.
