DraftKings Players to Watch: Rivas on the Upswing

DK Rivas

Just days after their comeback win against Montréal, Orlando City SC (3-3-5, 14 points) plays host to the Philadelphia Union (5-3-3, 18 points), who now reside atop the Eastern Conference table, Wednesday night at Camping World Stadium. We’ve got your fantasy scouting report covered.

Haven’t tried DraftKings? It’s easy. Each player is given a salary cap of $50,000 to draft their eleven-player lineup. Player salaries are determined by their on-field performance, FPPG, or Fantasy Points Per Game.

Orlando City Players to Watch:

Joe Bendik - 5.4 FPPG $4,200 -  Bendik has been on a tear of late, including Saturday’s win over Montréal where he allowed a 4th minute goal and then shut down the Impact offense for the rest of the game. That performance earned him MLS Team of the Week honors and his third straight week being named a DraftKings Player to Watch.

Carlos Rivas - 8.9 FPPG $4,200 - The unsung hero of the win over Montréal, Rivas was the most aggressive player on the pitch with six shots and eight ball recoveries. Although he didn’t score, he was a constant threat and opened up space for Larin and Kaká to unite for two goals.

Cyle Larin - 11.9 FPPG $7,000 - After two goals against Montréal, Larin is now the leading scorer for Orlando City. His return to form after a scoreless streak was a marvel to behold and he doesn’t show any signs of slowing down making him, once again, a DraftKings Player to Watch.
