Orlando City Recalls Josh Ford for Montreal Match

Josh Ford Strikers

ORLANDO – October 3, 2015 – Orlando City SC announced today that it has recalled goalkeeper Josh Ford from the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the North American Soccer League (NASL). The goalkeeper was available before Sept. 15 - the MLS roster freeze date.

Ford will be available for selection in the Lions' match against the Montreal Impact, set to kickoff at 7:30 p.m. ET tonight, after City's backup goalkeeper Earl Edwards Jr. recently suffered a minor knee injury.

Ford, 27, started 16 matches for the Strikers during his loan spell, recording three clean-sheets while posting a 6-5-5 overall record with the Club.

The goalkeeper was originally selected by Orlando City in the MLS re-entry draft earlier this year. Prior to signing with City, Ford spent four seasons with the Seattle Sounders, including a loan spell with USL side Orange County Blues, after a standout career at the University of Connecticut.
