U.S. Open Cup Final On Wednesday
The Philadelphia Union will take on Sporting Kansas City in the final of the 102nd Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. This is an important match for both teams considering the winner receives an automatic bid into next year’s CONCACAF Champions League. The match will take place at PPL Park in Philadelphia.

Sebastian Giovinco In The Record Books
Toronto FC midfielder Sebastian Giovinco became the first player in MLS history to score 20 goals and have 15 assists in a season. Giovinco is the front runner in the MLS MVP race, and is still keeping pace with Columbus Crew SC striker, Kei Kamara (22 goals) in the race for the Golden Boot.

LA Galaxy Lead Supporters’ Shield race
With Orlando City defeating the New York Red Bulls, the Lions opened the door for LA Galaxy to take command of the Supporters’ Shield Race. Vancouver and New York are still within two points of LA, however. The winner of the Supporters’ Shield also receives an automatic bid into next year’s CONCACAF Champions League.
