ORLANDO, Fla. (March 20, 2024) – National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and Liga MXF announced the groups for the inaugural NWSL X Liga MXF Summer Cup, featuring all 14 NWSL clubs and six Liga MXF Clubs. Included in the announcement, it was made known that Orlando Pride will face off against C.F. Monterrey of Liga MXF and North Carolina Courage and Racing Louisville of the NWSL in Group E of the competition.
Kicking off on July 19, the 33-match tournament will consist of 30 group stage contests, followed by a four-team semifinal round slated for the week of Aug. 4. The championship match will take place the weekend of Oct. 25-27. 
The Pride will begin the tournament on the road traveling to WakeMed Soccer Park on Saturday, July 20 to take on the North Carolina Courage. The Club will wrap up group play welcoming Liga MXF side Rayadas to INTER&Co Stadium on Sunday, July 28 before hosting Racing Louisville in the final match of group play on Thursday, Aug. 1.

C.F. Monterrey Femenil, also known as Rayadas, is a women’s football club based in Guadalupe, Nuevo León and has been the women’s section of C.F. Monterrey since 2017. They are one of only four clubs that have won the Liga MXF title, winning it on two separate occasions. They play their home matches at Estadio BBVA and former Pride forward Christina Burkenroad is currently on their roster.
The North Carolina Courage play in the National Women’s Soccer League and are based in Cary, North Carolina. Since being established in 2017, the Courage have won three NWSL Shields and were NWSL Champions in back-to-back seasons in 2018 and 2019.
Racing Louisville FC competes in the National Women’s Soccer League and was the first top-tier professional sports team in Kentucky or the region since the late 1970s. They play in the only soccer-specific stadium in the state at 15,304 capacity Lynn Family Stadium. In 2023, Racing Louisville finished its best campaign to date, accumulating 27 points in the regular season and advancing to the UKG NWSL Challenge Cup Final, its first NWSL tournament final.
